Hi friends, my name is Justine. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know we’ve all had to endure hardships in our lives, or the lives of our families. But our dearest friends, Chelsea and Chris, are going through an incredibly tragic series of events, and they need our help.

Back in October, the cutest, sweetest, most fun and loving couple got engaged after 4 years of being happily together. They had dreams of starting a family of their own shortly after the wedding. But just as they were putting the finishing touches on the plans for their big day, Chelsea was diagnosed with stage 2 colorectal cancer. 

She now has to bravely go through chemo for 6 months, then radiation, followed by surgery to remove the mass. On top of that discussion, she was informed that if she wants any chance of having a child, she will have to go through the process of removing eggs and having them frozen. Because of the location of treatment, it is almost guaranteed she will not be able to carry their baby. This means finding a surrogate, an entirely new level of cost.

Chelsea has already begun an expedited IVF course of treatments ($20k out of pocket) and will immediately begin chemo (another $11k estimated) after her egg retrieval. She has been told she will feel

awful through this process, but anyone who knows Chelsea knows her determination to do what needs to get done to get on with life.

time. Chelsea is always the brightest light in the room. She is known for her positive and fun-loving attitude, she’s so smart, hardworking, and cares extremely deeply for every person in her life.
