Please Help Chad Nelson's Family

Please help Chad Nelson’s family while he recovers from brain surgery.

Our family was recently thrown into a tailspin, as my husband Chad suffered a
sudden hemorrhagic stroke on Monday Jan 18 th . This event has taken all of his
friends and family by surprise. Everyone has been in complete shock as Chad has
been healthy as a horse since I’ve known him. He hasn’t been on any medications or needed to see a doctor for many years. My husband is extremely well loved and has dozens of concerned friends who are continually asking for updates on his progress. My son Matthew is enamored of his dad and refuses to give up hope for his return home. We have been praying consistently every day for his recovery.

We’ve been beside ourselves with grief, but we refuse to give up, as Chad's will to live is strong. This situation is taking a financial toll on us, as Chad’s job is our main
source of income. I’m trying not to let myself get too stressed out about the bills,
but they are definitely racking up. He did end up needing brain surgery after
spending a week in the hospital, to remove a very large clot from the center of his
brain. He’s been receiving daily chest X-Ray’s after developing pneumonia, multiple CT scans, MRI’s, he’s also on a ventilator and has a feeding tube. Then there are multiple intravenous therapies and various medications and treatments that he needs, to continue improving.

It’s been very difficult to concentrate on finances when you’re praying that your
husband is going to make it through the night. This has especially been a hardship
for us with covid, and that’s just another part of the travesty of this entire
situation. I have not been able to go to the hospital to be with my husband or be
there to hold his hand and talk to him and be an advocate for him in person. The
only way we can see him or talk to him is over Skype and he is usually unconscious, so we can only hope that he can hear our words and get some encouragement from them.

Please donate only what you can afford, and if you can’t afford anything,
that’s completely ok, your love and support have meant the world to our family.
Keep praying for Chad’s full recovery, we love you all.
