Beloved Miss Jamaica 1983, Cathi Levy, has spent years dedicating her life and personal resources to the training and nurturing of children, teens and young adults in the Performing Arts as Artistic Director of The Little People & Teen Players Club and Cathi Levy Players, and to the rescue, foster and care of stray and abandoned animals.

At one point, this avid animal advocate, had over 30 dogs under her care — feeding, grooming, training, providing veterinary care (including spay and neuter), and giving them the love and shelter they had never known, mostly at her own expense.

Now, Cathi needs our help.

HER INJURY

Recently, she suffered a serious fall that fractured her coccyx and caused damage to her lower spinal vertebrae. She was hospitalized in extreme pain, and is now facing major surgery and extensive physical therapy to heal and regain full mobility. Unfortunately, a clerical error some time ago caused the cancellation of her medical insurance, leaving her with no coverage for this urgent medical care.

WHAT THIS FUNDING WILL COVER

The estimated cost of her treatment and recovery is approximately $75,300 USD — a sum that covers her surgery and hospital stay, physical therapy and home aftercare (for approximately 6 weeks).

Unable to work for some months, this funding will alleviate a heavy financial burden for someone who has given so much of herself to the children she has fostered, and animals in need she has helped across the years.
