I'm writing this in the hope to help my beautiful niece Catherine in San Francisco.

Catherine was born and raised in Belfast and left for a new life in America 14 years ago. Shes now 39 years old and 6 months ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Family and amazing friends near and far rallied together to support her for the fight ahead.

Catherine had surgery and commenced chemotherapy and was initially responding well.

Unfortunately with the chemo, she developed complications resulting in life saving emergency surgery, due to sepsis. She is slowly recovering and coming to terms with how her life has changed but will be needing more surgery and radiation in the coming months.

The reality is Catherine is now unable to work and as a family we know the next months ahead will be a battle for her to get physically better. This go fund me is to alleviate the worry of money, allowing her to concentrate on getting better and stronger and to fight this disease like the fighting Irish woman that she is.

Our family will be eternally grateful for any help that you can offer no matter how small.
