Dear Duszka's friends

I would like to appogise profoundly for not making regular updates.

Unfortunately I had to deal also with unexpected family crisis, so I was virtually counting "spare" seconds to attend all demands.

I also wanted to thank you so much for all your generosity with donations.

Thanks to you we were able to save Duszka's life :)

As you can see Duszka's eye was nearly closed off and swollen. We couldn't wait. Decision was made to operate immediately (see update below) . Duszka had had surgery to remove the mass and correct the eyelids, which were infiltrated with abnormal tissue and were removed with the mass.

The tissue was sent to the laboratory. Operation was successful and Duszka came home, with lots of medications and Elizabethan collar to prevent rubbing at the eye.

My dear animal friends

Firstly I wanted to thank you from the bottom of Duszka's and my hearts for your generosity.

Secondly wanted to let you know that we went to eye specialist last Thursday and the vet was puzzled with the progress of the disease as it seems that the eye is not being pushed out much more. Yet the eye lids deteriorated significantly.

Today we are scheduled for yet another consultation and operation about 9am (Sydney time).

So please send your prayers and healing vibs for the best outcome ... Duszka's eye saved and no more pain

My name is Tessa. I am raising money to save the eye and life of cat Duszka (sweat soul). She is about 10 yrs old. I rescued her from dire circumstances and she has been the sweatiest girl I had ever honor to look after. She had quite serious health problems in the past, and she was always extremely patient and tolerant with all treatments I had to impose on her. Unfortunately, she started to have problems with her eyes. Duszka's right eye is pushed out from inside and makes her whole eye inflamed and closed in.

I rushed to an eye specialist who requested Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) which cost at least $4,000 plus obviously following treatment, operation, etc

Am heartbroken and feeling desperate to help this sweetest soul I ever met, who asks for nothing and gives so much (including purrs).

Thanks in advance for your contribution to saving Duszka, who means so much to me. It is urgent as MRI scan must be done immediately.
