Hello everyone!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
My name is Connor I am Cassy’s partner and Victoria is her best friend. We are setting this up on behalf of Cassandra Joseph, 33, living in Glasgow, Scotland. Someone who means the world to us!
This is extremely difficult to ask for support or assistance, but unfortunately this is our last option. My girlfriend, partner, best friend and the love of my life is fighting to survive every single day. She is currently aware that she has multiple incurable chronic diseases; including an extremely rare and severe case of Crohn’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, PCOS, Gallbladder Disease, Bronchial Asthma and Arthritis. She is also needing to be tested for a few more rare diseases they believe she may also have. All the doctors have told her she has an extremely complicated case and this is going to be a long and difficult battle ahead of her.
For those of you who know Cassy, knows she’s a free spirit and loves to travel. You’ve watched her over the years and seen the type of person she is. She was an athlete, a student, she had a great career, she got to travel and see much of the world. She did all of this while hiding and masking her crippling diseases, mistaking her symptoms for being normal or not wanting to complain. Cassy has lived her entire life in chronic pain, and she’s done it all with that big beautiful smile of hers never fading from her face. Her best mate Victoria was the only one who knew her private health issues since they were 12 years old. Therefore, we are collaborating together to see Cassandra get the help she deserves.
Now at 33 years old she is quickly losing her mobility. Constantly in and out of hospitals. Her weight fluctuates severely. This time she had lost 40kg (88lbs) in 6 months. She’s down another 10kg (22lbs) now. That free spirited, active girl no longer has her independence, can no longer work, and is mostly house or bed ridden on doctors orders. Unfortunately, Cassy cannot do the simple tasks that we all take for granted everyday. Getting out of bed, walking, showering, everything is difficult. She needs assistance at all times. And as I, Connor, am her sole carer at the moment, it is not as easy finding a job whilst leaving her knowing she has no aids in our home. I wish to continue to look for full time work, with the peace of mind that she is independent and safe in our home. Victoria and I are asking for your kindness and any assistance possible to helping our best friend (and my girlfriend) Cassy fight, especially when she feels she cannot any longer.
At this point we need medical disability aids and equipment for our home, she needs walking aids and scooters to allow her to leave her home and to do so safely, she’s in need of daily medical & living expenses, as well as travel expenses to see her medical team in London for long term ongoing treatments.
With everything she’s dealing with - we just wanted to try and alleviate some of the stress and anxiety from her life since these stressors make her condition worse.
We are asking everyone to come together and help donate in anyway they can to help remove some of the financial stress to allow Cassy to fight these awful debilitating diseases. Any little bit helps and it’s greatly appreciated! If you can’t donate, please just share this in hopes that maybe someone will!
Thank you all so much!
