Please Help Carol with medical and travel expenses

Hi, my name is Carol. Between my husband and I, we have 6 children, 1 grandchild, and helped raise 4 more babies. Our 15-year-old son is special needs and will continue to live with us throughout our lives. I was diagnosed with triple positive IDC metastatic breast cancer in January 2022.

During treatment for that, I had another lump come up in the same place, and it was HR positive Her2-. A few months after that, there was a lesion discovered in my brain. I am now Stage 4. I will not give up, I will do everything in my power to survive and be here for my family and friends.

During my treatments and multiple surgeries, I developed secondary lymphedema in my upper right quadrant.

 I also have severe nerve damage and extreme pain to go with it. I'm losing the use of my right hand, which is also my dominant hand. I have severe arthritis in my hand, and the only treatment for this is surgery. I cannot have surgery due to the lymphedema, as I will not heal and will end up with life-threatening infections.

We have found a surgeon that specializes in surgical treatments for lymphedema.

I need financial help to be able to drive back and forth to San Antonio, Texas, which is approximately 2 1/2 hours one way for me. This will help with gas, hotel stays, meals, copays, bills, etc. I can't do this by myself, and I need help.

Starting next week, I will be undergoing multiple doctor appointments, tests, and procedures to see which treatments/surgeries will be available for me. If these treatments work, it will be life-changing and honestly could save my life, as with lymphedema I end up with multiple infections that can end up killing me.

4/28/25 I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shared and prayed for me and my family. I was able to get the MRI's on my arm last week, finally. I have a few more tests to do and my final test is scheduled for May 22nd. Hopefully, I will get decent results so that I might be able to qualify for one of the surgeries to help my lymphedema. I am praying so hard, please keep praying for me. Thank you so very much.
