Please Help Carol Rebuild Her Life After a Major Health Crisis
In November, my sister Carol Delozier was diagnosed with uterine cancer and had surgery. She bravely began chemotherapy. Like many cancer warriors, she endured the painful side effects, but what she didn’t realize was that something far more serious was happening. A tear in her colon had developed—masked by the symptoms of chemo. By the time it was discovered, Carol was in critical condition and placed on life support. Her chances of survival were heartbreakingly slim.
Miraculously, she pulled through—but the battle is far from over.
After weeks of being in the hospital, she has to regain her strength and learn to walk again. She also has to get dialysis 3-4 days a week because the infection damaged her kidneys.
Now recovering in a nursing home, Carol needs extensive rehabilitation to regain her strength. Unfortunately, her insurance is refusing to continue covering her care, leaving her stuck at a critical point in her recovery. Without proper rehab, she faces serious setbacks and risks losing the progress she has fought so hard to make.
To make matters worse, Carol is also at risk of losing her home, which she rents, due to the overwhelming financial strain.
Today she also lost her partner Bobby of 17 years, adding grief to an already unbearable situation.
Carol has always been a fighter, but right now, she needs help. Your donation will go toward:
- Continued rehab and nursing care
- Housing support to prevent eviction
- Basic living expenses during this long recovery journey
Any amount helps, and if you can’t give, please share this with others who might be able to. Let’s surround Carol with love, support, and the resources she needs to heal.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
