My name is Malia. Carlos is the love of my life and my best friend.

Carlos is only 55 and seemed to be in his great physical and mental health, but all that has changed on January 5th, 2023. After experiencing abdominal discomfort, followed by countless doctor visits, multiple medical tests and examinations, Carlos got a call from the Dr to come in for his results to which he was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. He had a stint put in 4 weeks ago and thereafter started treatments before he starts Chemotherapy.

A new journey has begun, as Carlos started chemo last week and will need 8 treatments to fight this. With medical insurance covering just only part of it, his total out of pocket expenses for medical bills is starting to add up, making it difficult to attend some of his required medical appointments.

If you know Carlos, he is usually the type of person to never ask for help. He is a loving father, brother and uncle. Nonetheless, Carlos is a very hardworking man who loves his family and means the world to him. We all love him so very much, and will be by his side every step of the way to defeat this. However, we feel that now is the time we need it the most.
