PLEASE HELP - Care For Our Mom With Dementia

Our Mom, Rhonda Buhr, went from tending to her children's every need, selling her crochet, embroidery, woodworks, and poetry book to needing a white board to tell her what day it is and spending time in front of television to keep her entertained. She has gone from being a fully independent individual to needing her meals prepared for her, needing help to go to the bathroom and to shower. We are losing our Mom to a disease that ravages the brain and its taking her from us quickly.

My sister Amelia and brother Jeremiah are my Moms primary caretakers at this time, but we are aware that as our Mother's cognitive capabilites decline it will be more difficult for us to provide her with the care she requires.

My sister is taking leave from work so we can make plans, sign paperwork, get paperwork signed by doctors, and get power of attorney whist also caring for our Moms 24 hour a day needs. It could be months before our Mother is placed in a nursing home. Bills and the mortgage still need paid as we tend to our Mothers needs, so, if there's anything you can contribute to keep us afloat, THANK YOU. If not, keeping my Mother in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
