Please Help Build this School Restroom!!

This past week I was fortunate enough to work at the Santa Elena Primary School in Santa Elena, Belize. The teachers and staff I met there are an unbelievably hardworking team of caring and dedicated people who are faced with conditions I never had to deal with as a teacher. One of the challenges they face is having one very small restroom for 40 teachers!! Because the restroom is located on the ground floor, teachers far away from the bathroom have to strategically plan for time to go to the bathroom which is not an easy pursuit. 

The skeleton of the new, more centrally located bathroom was completed in early 2018 but the project was put on hold when the organization who agreed to do the work abandoned the job and the school was left with the responsibility to fund the completion of the project.

Six teachers on this Belize EduVenture , of which I was a part, witnessed the impact of the unfinished bathrooms and the hope for a solution. We would love to raise the money for this bathroom to be completed.  Completion includes:

· plumbing for four toilets

· plumbing for four sinks

· two large mirrors

· flooring tiles, ceiling tiles, and paint

· hardware such as toilet paper holder, paper towel dispenser, soap dispenser, etc.

Any additional funds collected will be used to support the development of a library!  Every penny raised will go directly to the vice-principal of the school who I know personally and who has dedicated her life to the children and teachers of this school. Please donate if you can!!
