I am reaching out to share my journey over the past two and a half years, which has been incredibly challenging and humbling. After undergoing a knee replacement in 2007, my health took a serious downturn in late 2022 when I had a new plastic component inserted into my knee. Unfortunately, this led to a severe infection in June 2023, resulting in a ten-day hospital stay and a life-threatening reaction to antibiotics. Despite rigorous treatment, including a six-week course of intravenous antibiotics, I faced repeated infections and complications that have left me unable to work for over a year.

As I navigated through numerous surgeries and hospitalizations, my financial situation deteriorated. I have exhausted my savings and sold off personal assets to cover living expenses while waiting for disability benefits that have yet to materialize. My recent surgery on September 25, 2025, gave me hope for a brighter future with a permanent knee replacement, but the journey to recovery remains uncertain.

It is with great reluctance that I turn to my friends and community for support. I understand the challenges we all face, and asking for help is not easy. However, I find myself in a position where every bit of assistance can make a significant difference as I strive to regain my health and independence.
