Please help Brownie with surgery!
Donation protected
On June 26th, we were sitting outside when this adorable dog ran into our yard on Main Street roughly 715pm. As we all have read there have been many bears in the area. Unfortunately one bear got into her owner's fenced in yard and she was injured. We thought it was our neighbors dog but as we got closer we noticed a dog highly distressed that wasnt our neighbors. I took this picture bc i didn't see the tags at first with every intention of posting on the forum to locate owner. We noticed her injury and thought maybe she got hit by a car or something.. We contacted the owner right away and she rushed over.( already rushing from work after a neighbor alerted her of a bear in the yard ). Poor Brownie had a few injuries and may need surgery. We all know vet bills are expensive... please consider donating! If not please share!!
UPDATE: Brownie may need an amputation now.. please keep sharing this! No one wants a phone call from a stranger saying they have your dog at your house and your dog is injured =(
UPDATE 2: As of this morning. Brownie is being taken care of at the Windsor Animal hospital and is in good hands. She received many stitches to close her big gash but they are still monitoring her closely to make sure no tissue dies off or any complications. The vets wanted to try this procedure before a surgeon, plastic surgeon, were called on. Fingers crossed this procedure works and brownie won't lose her leg!
UPDATE! Shes home! She needs lotsa rest and will be watched over! Fingers crossed her healing goes well and won't need any other procedures!
