Please help bring this abandoned puppy home from Montenegro

Meet Monty, an abandoned puppy who we found shivering, starving, scared and alone in a car park in the mountains of Montenegro.
We waited and looked for his owner or mum but it was getting late with temperatures dropping down to zero. Nobody would help, instead telling us it would be better to leave him and ‘let nature take its course’. We decided not to do that.
After bringing him back to our holiday accommodation and speaking to locals in the area, we discovered that dogs like Monty generally aren't adopted here, as we had hoped we might be able to arrange for him. They're seen as a pest problem and killed - usually by being poisoned, clubbed, or we even heard tied to train tracks. As Monty is so young (probably only a month or two old), he's also at risk of being eaten by the other stray dogs or catching a very common, deadly virus. There are some shelters, but they're kill shelters.
Now we're left with a choice: leave Monty to die, have him put down, or bring him to Scotland, at great expense, to live with us.
We've made contact with 2 amazing people who have devoted themselves to the welfare of stray Montenegrin dogs and they’re helping us begin the adoption process and transport him to the U.K.
Unfortunately this is a complicated, lengthy and expensive process, so we need your help to save Monty.
As he is so young, Monty is unable to go into a shelter with other dogs. He's also unvaccinated, which means he must stay in a foster home with no other dogs while getting his vaccination shots and rabies jabs and growing up a bit. Three months after his second rabies jab he can be titer tested and given a veterinary certificate to be cleared for transport to the U.K.
The only way we can save Monty and give him a loving home with our other rescue dog, is with your generosity. We have been given an estimate of somewhere between £1000 and £1500 to cover vets bills, vaccinations, rabies shots, titer tests, room and board for 4 months at £200 euros a month, followed by the transportation cost.
As a family on a modest income with a higher needs child and a rescue dog already this is beyond our means. So we're making this appeal in the hope that you will help us give this sweet pup a chance at a happy life in his forever home with us.
UPDATE
Monty is in a temporary foster house and being very well looked after. He’s eating and drinking lots, has his first ever toy to chew on which is helping with those sore puppy teeth! He saw the vet who removed two tick’s, gave him worming medicine and his first lot of vaccinations.
We’re nearly half way there! Thank you so much everyone who has donated already x
