We are humbly reaching out in a moment of deep crisis. Our beloved brother is currently stuck abroad under a travel ban due to two civil cases that were maliciously filed against him by former associates. In the country where he is, the law automatically imposes a travel ban—even for minor disputes—until the cases are resolved. Because of this, he is unable to return home to his young children, his grieving family, or the life he has worked so hard to build.
For legal reasons and his safety, we are keeping certain details private, but we hope you understand the urgency and pain behind this plea.
We are a low-income family and have exhausted every resource we have. We’ve scraped together what we could, but it’s not enough. We are not people who would ask unless there was nowhere else to turn. We’ve scraped together every penny, but we’re still far short of the £20,000 we urgently need to:
Settle the cases to lift the travel ban
Hire a lawyer to prevent this escalating further
Provide him with safe accommodation, food, and transport in the meantime
Right now, he is alone—battling 44-degree heat, bouncing between police stations and courtrooms daily, without legal protection. He’s sleeping in a hotel he’s struggling to afford, skipping meals, and relying on taxis he can’t pay for, just to meet authorities and plead for help. The conditions are not only financially draining, they are emotionally crushing and physically dangerous.
My brother missed Father’s Day with his young children
He missed our dad’s death anniversary and Eid
His mental health is declining and we’re terrified he may be imprisoned abroad
This situation is spiralling fast. If we cannot raise funds, the case could result in imprisonment. This is not a criminal case—it started as a simple civil dispute. But the legal system there can turn civil into criminal simply by technicality and procedure.
To make things worse, he’s still trying to provide for his family in the UK. He recently paid the rent for his home where his wife and kids live, but if he doesn’t return and start working again soon, they risk losing the home entirely.
My mother is in her 70s and is devastated. I am physically sick from worry. I can’t even travel myself due to anxiety—but I feel helpless. I’m begging you, please, if you can help in any way… no amount is too small.
If we raise more than we need, the remaining money will be donated to charities that help families caught in legal situations abroad. Please feel free to suggest any you know of. And if you can't donate, we still ask for your prayers, good energy, and kind thoughts—anything to help manifest his safe return home.
Please keep my brother in your heart. Please help us bring him home.
With all my love and gratitude,
A heartbroken sibling
