Three years ago, I found Frank — a two-year-old English Bulldog — in one of Korea’s notorious kill shelters. He had just one week left before the unimaginable would have happened. I couldn’t let that be his story.
At the time, my ex-wife and I rescued him, hoping to start a new life together during the pandemic and our new move to South Korea. Our marriage didn’t last, but when we separated, I chose Frank. I gave up everything else and started over from scratch — because he was worth more to me than any amount of money or possessions.
Since then, Frank has been my world. He’s carried me through heartbreak, through loneliness in a foreign country, and through the hardest moments of my life. He’s not just a dog — he’s my family, my best friend, and the gentlest little “short king” you could ever meet.
But now my visa in Korea is ending. I have no choice but to return to England, and I cannot bear the thought of leaving Frank behind. Because of his breed and weight, the cost of flying him safely home is far higher than I can manage alone. His story began in tragedy — tied up on the side of a busy motorway, abandoned and terrified — and I can’t let it end with him losing me too.
I have no family or close friends here who can care for him. My ex has moved abroad and left us behind completely. It’s just me and Frank. And the truth is, I don’t want to be without him.
Please, if you can, help me bring Frank home to England. Every little bit means the world. You won’t just be saving him — you’ll be keeping two hearts from breaking.
