PLEASE HELP BRING ASHTON HOME

Donation protected
Hi my name is Beverley Walker I am Ashtons Nan. I’d firstly like to start by saying if you’re reading this, please know it hasn’t been an easy decision to come on here to have to ask friends, family and strangers for money but we feel as though we have no other choice.

Even if you cannot donate, we ask you to please press the share button so others can hear his story.

On the 30th May 2025: Ashton jones, aged 29 traveled to Thailand with his lifelong friend and on arrival met up with his best-friend’s brother. The three of them was having an amazing time, doing once in a life time experiences, making unforgettable memories that will last a life time.
Everything was great until it wasn’t.

After only being there for a short amount of time, (5 days to be exact) we had the worst possible news that none of us was prepared for.

Ashton had got separated from his friends on a night out and was later found on a life support machine after undergoing emergency brain surgery.
As you can imagine this news came as a shock to all of his family and closest friends.

With being in Thailand, the language barrier has been the most difficult to find out exactly what is going on and what has happened.
Finally after a long few days of going back and forth we finally got some answers about his condition but still nothing certain. we are now facing an even more heartbreaking challenge. The hospital in Thailand is asking for The cost of his treatment on going that is far beyond what our family can afford In the meantime, Ashton’s condition continues to deteriorate, and it feels as though we are being left helpless as time runs out.

Neither the Thai government nor the Welsh or UK government has yet offered any support or intervention, despite the seriousness of the situation. I am deeply concerned that without immediate financial or diplomatic assistance, my grandson may not survive. The emotional toll on our family is immense—we are heartbroken and fearful, watching from afar while Ashton suffers without the care he urgently requires.
Yesterday, we were told they have tried to wake him up and that it was a success but he still has a long way to go, he’s bed bound and suffering with fits, cannot talk, eat or drink and isn’t aware.

Unfortunately, Ashton flew to Thailand on a ‘whim’ with his friend and did the unthinkable, forgot to buy health or travel insurance.

So now we as a family have an another challenge on our hands. Not only can we worry about Ashton but also the medical expenses, and most importantly trying to bring him back home to the UK.

We have been told Ashton will firstly need to pay a reasonable amount before leaving the hospital and It’s going to cost thousands of pounds for medical care and and will also need to pay for medical assistance on the flight to get back home which is something we as a family
will cost thousands of pounds that we simply do not have.
We have already put together life savings for medical bills, flights, travel, accommodation to be with him but would never be able to afford to get him home to better health care and his family.

We all as a family are worried sick with fear for Ashton and how we can bring him home. So please, any donations made towards getting Ashton home is apprenticed beyond words can describe. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

I’d also like to say thank you for taking the time to read Ashtons story and would like to apologise that the details of his event isn’t much but we as a family still don’t know anything for certain.

The most important thing for us all right now is bringing Ashton home to the health care he desperately needs and to be with his loved ones.

Again,
Thank you.
