On April 27th, 2021 my brother-in-law, Brian Konkle, was admitted into the ER with excruciating pain thinking he may be experiencing a severe case of kidney stones. Heartbreakingly, a CT scan revealed a softball-sized tumor on his right kidney and he and his wife, Joy, left the hospital with the devastating diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma. On May 13th Brian was admitted to the hospital to undergo surgery to remove the large mass as well as his right kidney.
Brian is an incredible son, brother, friend, husband, and father. He and Joy have been married for 25 years and are parents to four wonderful children. He has a sense of humor like no other and will go to the ends of the earth for anyone that he crosses paths with.
We started this Go Fund Me page in the hopes of alleviating some of the financial stress that Joy and Brian will face. Not only are the substantial medical bills going to take a financial toll on their family, there are also many out-of-pocket expenses they will experience as well as loss of income. Brian's time out of work due to his surgery and recovery will exceed his sick and vacation time.
We are so appreciative for all of the positive thoughts, prayers and energy that have been extended to the Konkle family. Please share this page and consider a donation, if possible. No amount is too small and every dollar will help tremendously. Thank you for all you can do and please continue to keep Brian and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
