I met Brandy when she and her husband opened their hearts and home to become host parents for 2 foreign exchange students. They are 2 of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet, but as we all know, cancer doesn’t discriminate.
After winning the battle against breast cancer once, Brandy recently learned that it had returned and spread throughout her body. Unbeknownst to me, she got the news this spring while hosting and kept it to herself so as not to worry her host daughters or negatively affect their time here. Fighting through pain and discomfort, she kept her smile and positive attitude to make sure her exchange girls had the very best experience.
Doctors have shared the heartbreaking news that Brandy’s time is limited. She is currently in the hospital, and the focus has shifted to comfort, dignity, and making sure her final days are surrounded by love — not stress or worry.
As Brandy’s condition worsens, the financial burden on her and her family continues to grow. From ongoing medical bills, to the unavoidable costs of saying goodbye, the expenses can be overwhelming.
Any donation, no matter how small, can help ease the strain and allow Brandy and Kent to focus on what matters most: spending time with those we love while we have them with us. Every bit truly helps — and if you can’t give, please consider sharing this post to help us reach more people. Thank you.
