Please help Brandi repair her house

Hey guys, I’m Kamee, Brandi’s best friend and neighbor and I’m starting this to help her out. Her sewage overflowed downstairs while they were sleeping and destroyed absolutely everything downstairs: her flooring, couches, tables (anything with a wooden bottom), her lower kitchen cabinets, you name it. It has also destroyed some sentimental objects from her deceased husband that cannot be replaced. Her insurance company is only giving her $4500 for removal and replacement (technically $5000, but she has to pay her $500 deductible).

If you aren’t aware of Brandi’s situation, her husband was killed in a very tragic accident Oct 16, 2020 and has since been a single mom to 2 kids on her income.

Since her house has been absolutely destroyed, she hasn’t been able to do her job effectively (she’s a realtor, but all of her supplies, printer, scanner, and all of everything that helps her do her job has been destroyed).

She is currently talking to lawyers to see what her options are, but if you live around here, you know that the company that owns the sewage company has done this to many without any compensation.

I am asking on her behalf if anyone can help her out. If for some reason, she is able to get compensation from the sewage company, she will donate anything that isn’t spent on flooring, cabinets, furniture, etc.

As far as money is concerned, here is an estimated breakdown of costs:

Drywall: $3,800

Restoration Services (removing everything downstairs for repairs): $27,000

Flooring and Installation: $9,600

Kitchen: $14,400

Plumbing: $4,500

Trim, Molding, Door Casing, and bathroom reinstall: $4400

Paint: $300

All furniture and personal items: TBD
