Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friends, Bob and Stacy Dieterlen. They’ve endured more in the past year than anyone should have to face, and now they need our help.

Bob and Stacy were relocated to Florida for Bob's job in 2022. After 2.5 years, his company went through some major changes, and after 9 years of dedicated service, Bob's position was eliminated, leaving him suddenly unemployed. This was an unexpected heavy blow, and it set off a chain of hard and tough decisions. They made the difficult choice to relocate again—this time to Madison, Wisconsin, where they’d have more opportunities and be closer to family. To make that move happen, they had to drain a large portion of their savings—breaking a lease, securing a home in Madison, and covering all the moving expenses.

Just as they were beginning to rebuild, the bottom dropped out. Bob was diagnosed with a brain tumor—a meningioma. Just two months ago, he underwent brain surgery. The neurosurgical team in Lakeland, FL, quite literally saved his life, but because part of the tumor was attached to his brainstem, they couldn’t remove it all. Since then, his recovery has been long, difficult, and costly.

Now, the doctors at UW Madison who took over Bob's case have told them it’s imperative to go back in and remove more of the tumor. This means Bob will have to undergo another craniotomy, another long recovery, and face another wave of medical bills on top of everything they’re already carrying.

Bob and Stacy are two of the kindest, most resilient people we know. They would never ask for help for themselves, but we know they need it. Your donation—no matter the size—will help cover:
