Hi, my name is Chris and my 3 year old frenchie Blueberry recently started having trouble walking. I took him to the vet and they said he had a slipped disk, but over the course of the next 48 hours things quickly spiraled and got much worse. Today, I noticed my Blueberry dragging his back legs behind him, unable to use them. We brought him back to the vet and they said he still has a small amount of feeling left in his legs, and he will need surgery on his hips/spine in order to ever walk again. He was diagnosed Degenrative Myelopathy. If we don't get Blue this surgery, the odds of him ever walking again are low. We love our boy so much and want to give him the best chance at life possible.
