Hello, I PUT THE UPDATE HERE❤️❤️‍

My name is James and I am a friend of 22 years of William Merritt aka "bill". I'm his caregiver now as he's unable to remember to take his medicine and do everyday tasks. Bill is 60 now and just last April on his Birthday he was diagnosed with squamas cell Carcinoma of the tounge and throat. Here recently, we found out at Sierra ENT in Carson City after the biopsy that it has spread to the very back of his tongue and throat and is now threatening viral organs. This is his second surgery. Dr. Bewley at UC Davis took half his tongue off and both of his lymph nodes on July 1rst, 2022 but it came back fierce and so fast. Thought it was just his prior surgery but Dr. Lee confirmed that wasn't the case. They are now going to do robotic surgery due to where the cancer is now. .

The reason I'm writing this is he now has a vehicle but can't drive and will be out of work for many months as they're also going to be doing reconstructive surgery as well. I've been able to help pay his bills but sadly I'm unable to do so anymore. I'll be adding pictures on here showing that this isn't some sick scam. I've called every resource that I've been referred to no avail. This will be his 8th trip to see Bewley. This will most likely the surgery that saves his life. Rent, travel, and logging is what he needs help with. (First surgery was on July 1rst)

Update: The cars estimated cost to fix is now 3k or more. This is from jigsaw in Carson City. For a rebuilt (Which he doesn't recommend). I was told that he's a honest and affordable mechanic by many of you. Thank God for the help he's getting to get back and forth to chemo and radiation treatments. Janey, mom, and Virginia.❤️

Only one income and that's the reason I'm asking for help for him. I was just now offered a job. This job will pay enough to cover everything, including slowly paying it forward and paying y'all back. I'll even sign whatever you like. One year has gone by as of April 13th when he first found out that he has cancer of the tongue. Relapsed and back to UC Davis we went again, thanks mostly to all of you.

Today, he was told that he needed another PET scan done as there's a mass on his neck. He tells me he's going to make it through this. Hopefully not just to say this so myself, and others, will not worry 24/7.

Please help, even a share or prayer, a candle will help.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know these go fund mes are everywhere. From the Carson Pines Apartments disaster to disasters all over. We know because we were able to donate them and of course you see them for William, aka Bill. Asking for help is not easy. You have to throw away your pride and listen to those who support you. They tell that he's not asking for a hand out but a hand up.

I'm trying everything. Finally landed a job. Finally got a car to get myself to work and him to everywhere he needs to go. These wonderful folks can't do it forever, they have lives too.

This will be my last post other than keeping everyone informed on bills health status.
