Update as of 06/13/2021: With extreme sadness, Big Easy has passed away due to the severe respiratory infection causing his heart to stop from not getting enough oxygen. His appointment with the specialist in DFW was less than 24 hours away before he passed. He fought so hard over the last two weeks of his hospitalization.
Thank you so much to all of you who have donated to help save my kitty’s life. Words cannot explain how grateful I am to each and every one of you for your support. All donations have been set up to directly pay East Lake Animal Hospital. I will leave the GoFundMe up for a few more days if anyone wanted to donate to help offset his veterinary bill, which exceeds $8000. East Lake Veterinary Hospital has been very gracious and understanding. They did everything they could to save my Big Easy.
Big Easy had been fighting off a severe respiratory infection, and sadly, things have recently taken a turn for the worse. He had both a viral infection and bacterial staph infection, which has caused his right lung to collapse.
He was hospitalized at the veterinary hospital, living in a pressurized oxygen tank, and receiving fluids through an IV. He lost about 7lbs and was struggling to gain it back.
Big Easy was stabilized medically, but his veterinary bills are climbing beyond my ability to cover the costs. His bill is currently at $9000.
Any help would be greatly appreciated for Big Easy's treatment. My veterinarian thought he would survive both the bacterial and viral infections. I am praying I can get some financial help from the community to help offset his costs. I truly appreciate any support you can offer.
