Please Help.-Bev Stout Lost Everything In LNU Fire
Hello my name is Tiffani Emerson Morris and Beverly Stout is my mother.
Beverly is 70 years young. She's a devoted mother, grandmother and a friend to all.
She has always been the one to take care of others, but now she needs help. She has a
bad knee and had been preparing for her
second knee replacement surgery that was scheduled to take place this past week.
Beverly resided in Spanish Flats Mobil Villa at Lake Berryessa. Due to the “Hennesey
Fire”, on Tuesday, August 18th, she lost her
home and all of her personal belongings.
Unfortunately, she had no renters
insurance.
Due to a series of unforeseen events,
Beverly has been displaced from her home numerous times in the past five years.
In July of 2015, Gene (Barger), her
significant other of twenty years suddenly passed away in her arms. It was tragic and
unexpected. They shared a home in
Watsonville (Santa Cruz Co.). Beverly was displaced from the home, forced to retire
and, with nowhere else to go, she relocated to Berryessa Highlands to live with her
daughter, Tiffani (Justin Morris), and her
family. All as she tried to cope with the loss of her love, best friend, life partner, her
home, and her job.
On Tuesday, August 18th, in response to a mandatory evacuation order resulting
from the “Hennesey Fire”, Beverly made it
to her daughters home in Berryessa
Highlands. Soon thereafter, Berryessa
Highlands was evacuated. Beverly then
went on the home of dear family friends in the outskirts of Vacaville, along with her
nine year old grandson.
The next morning, Wednesday, August
19th, Beverly awoke to learn that the area of Vacaville she escaped to was going to be
evacuated. They found refuge at a hotel
located on Travis Air force Base, but later
that day Travis was also evacuated and I-80 was closed. That night, Beverly and her
grandson were reunited with her daughter in Suisun. At that same time, it was
confirmed that her daughters home in
Berryessa Highlands was engulfed in
flames and there were NO resources
available to put out the fire. That night,
Tiffani and Justin’s home, along with (aprx.) 110 other homes in Berryessa Highlands,
were lost in the fire.
Beverly shared a small bedroom at a
friend's house with her daughter, her
husband, child, dog and four kitty cats. The next day gracious family friends allowed
Beverly to stay in their Napa cottage
temporarily.
Beverly must find a place to live and start
to rebuild her life. As noted before, she has nothing but the clothes on her back and
has very few financial assets due to her
being a senior citizen on a fixed income.
For years and years Beverly has been the
one to help others, now she needs others
to help her. She will use whatever money is raised for housing, furniture, clothes,
medical necessities and other basic needs.
Please contribute what you can. Thank you.
