Benedetto "Benny" Christiano served the Township of Bloomfield since 1993. He recently retired after serving 27 years. Just weeks after his retirement, Benny contracted Covid 19. He fought valiantly for months until he succumbed to the horrible virus. Benny leaves behind his loving wife, Julie, and loving daughter, Lindsey. Benny loved his family as well as his brothers and sisters of the Bloomfield Police Department. Over the years of service, Benny was assigned to the Traffic Division where he rode a motorcycle and was responsible for many funeral escorts that brought peace to countless grieving family members.
