Our sweet pug, Bella, has been limping for the past two weeks, and we just found out why — she has a serious fracture in her right leg and needs surgery with screws to repair it. She can’t use that leg at all right now, and it’s heartbreaking to watch her struggle.

Bella is only a year old and usually full of life — playful, cuddly, and always making us laugh with her goofy little pug personality. She means the absolute world to me and to my kids. They adore her, and it’s been really hard for us to see her in pain. She’s not herself lately — quiet, sad, and clearly uncomfortable — and it’s awful feeling helpless while she hurts.

Her vet referred us to a specialist in Albany, and the estimated cost for her surgery is a few thousand dollars — a sudden expense that we just don’t have in front of us right now. I’m not one to ask for help, but I had to give this a shot, for Bella.

Bella is truly part of our family, and all we want is to help her heal and get back to her happy, wiggly self again. Every bit of support — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing her story — means so much and will go directly toward her surgery and recovery.
