Hi family and friends. This year was supposed to be one of the most exciting and gratifying years of Bella's life. In fact, every graduating student's life. A symbol of transitioning from childhood to young adult. The acknowledgement of hard work and dedication. Unfortunately, this year we are unable to celebrate in the traditional ways, but that does not mean we can't celebrate Bella in a different way.
I'm am so proud of Bella and everything she has accomplished. When she was in elementary school she told me that she was going to graduate from high school early. I never discouraged her, but I also knew that would not be an easy task because she had already started school at 4 years old. Fast forward 6 years.... she finished all of her high school credits a semester early, and is able to check one of her many goals off of her list. Bella will turn 18 on Thanksgiving Day of this year. Her last semester of “high school” she has been taking college courses and working at Starbucks.
Bella was accepted in to quite a few colleges and private universities. She has made the choice to finish her associates degree at Grossmont Junior College. In my opinion, that is another very mature and intelligent decision that she made on her own. With God's guidance, she is hoping to complete her Associates degree before the beginning of next year. (Prayers and fingers crossed.) This is another one of many goals that Bella has set for herself. She is hoping to pursue a career as a surgeon or an FBI agent. As random as that may sound, I know Bella can achieve anything she puts her mind to.
As much as I do enjoy chauffeuring Bella around, I'm hoping that WE, Bella's village, can help her transition into the next phase of her life more independently. If there is anyone who would like to donate to Bella's page, I am trying to raise funds to purchase a reliable, safe vehicle to get Bella to work and school. This is the goal that I have set for myself to let Bella know how proud we are of her and celebrate her kind and giving heart.
Thank you all for touching Isabella's life in some way and helping her to grow into an amazing young woman.
