Please Help Becky in this New Chance at Life!

Hi, my name is Karen Barrett Soleimani and I'm fundraising for my sister, Becky (Rebecca Barrett). She inherited Polycystic Kidney Disease from our father.

She had a kidney transplant today, May 3 at the University of California San Diego hospital. We just got the news that she's out of surgery, and came through like a trooper & is already making urine! So thankful!!

She’ll be there 3-5 days, maybe longer depending on how she is doing.

Her daughter, Rachel, will be her caretaker after she leaves the hospital. They will need to stay at a hotel near UCSD at least a week for lots of lab work and appointments.

Along with needing to be close by the hospital in case of rejection or any other problems that require her to get to the hospital ASAP!

Becky will be put on A LOT of immunosuppressant medication which results in a very low immunity. Little by little, if everything is ok, the doctors will take away some of these medicines.

Lots of trips back and forth to San Diego for appointments have been and will mean that she, Eddie and Rachel will be spending more and more money.

I’m wanting to help my sister by raising some funds for the extra expenses of the hotel stay and gasoline costs.

Becky has had her graphic design business for 31 years and still works with a few of her clients. With being on dialysis almost 6 years she didn’t have the time to meet some of her others clients’ deadlines. Due to this, she’s unable to make the income she had been. It’s for this reason I wanted to create this Go Fund Me for her.
