Hello, my name is Laurinda, and I'm trying to help my friends Becki and Tim who had a house fire over the weekend. They lost almost everything except what they can salvage and clean themselves. They even lost a beloved family pet, their son's dog!

They have a long road ahead of them. There wasn't insurance on the home. There was a foundation issue they couldn't afford to fix, so insurance considered the home uninsurable. They had insurance on the home loan, so that is paid off, but now they are stuck with no home and no way to get a new one. They are working to get the items they can and clean them, but it's a tedious process, and not everything can be saved. The family has also temporarily been split up. Their two sons, one of whom is a college student, were living with them. While Becki and Tim stay with her parents, the boys are at other family members' homes. Plus, their other dogs have had to be temporarily rehomed until they can find a new place to live. While they are navigating this, Becki is also disabled and struggles to help with the house and content cleaning.

Did I mention the medical bills for the ER trip for smoke inhalation along with trying to replace the items they need while trying to find a new home for everyone and their dogs? Plus, the home needs to be safe for Becki to live in.

Becki and Tim and their sons really need a break, so I am turning to their family, friends, and community to help them. Any little bit will help them get back on their feet to replace necessary items and hopefully get a new home.
