Please help basil!!!

Hello all, Jackie & Kristina here and on behalf of our friends Samantha and Thomas we are desperate to try and help them in this time of need.

We are saddened to report on October 5th our sweet Basil was viciously attacked by an unleashed dog in their neighborhood.

Basil was quickly brought to Islip Animal Hospital where she was placed in intensive care and she is currently fighting for survival.

Basil suffered severe trauma and has multiple areas of lost flesh to her belly, bottom and hind legs.

Taking numerous hours to stabilize her prior to surgery unfortunately some surgical sites were unable to be fully closed due to amount of missing skin.

Basil has a long road ahead of her but she's a fighter!

She is currently still in the hospital with three drains and her postoperative wounds are still being monitored for tissue survival and healing.

Let's all send healing energy to basil as she fights this battle and pray she can safely return home.
