Hi my name is John and I want to share my friend, Barry Krueger's, story with you. I have been great friends with him for the past 27 years. Barry is a fun, charismatic, and hard working person that everyone loves being around. Like all of us, we have had our trials and tribulations throughout our lives, but this time Barry needs our help. While working he had a serious accident and badly damaged his left leg and broke his right leg’s heel leaving him bed ridden. He cannot walk at all now and only later will with a walker until both legs are healed. Here is his message for all to here. We appreciate your interest in Barry’s unfortunate situation.
From Barry Krueger:
To my friends, family and anyone with a heart to help, I have tried everything in my will to cope with this accident and injury- However, I now have to post a Go Fund Me for financial help and support.
Unfortunately there are so many aspects not covered by my insurance. Neither Ortho Surgeon, a slew of items between the hospital and Care One Rehabilitation are not covered. Today I found out they will not even cover, a commode, walker and a shower seat when I am released from the rehab facility because the insurance company’s coverage ran out.
I cannot work for at least 4-6 months at all and have rent, utilities, food, transport and other housing expenses I cannot cover until I am properly healed and back to work not to mention all the medical and transport bills. I have no choice but to count on friends and family and kindness from whoever to help me through this challenging time for me.
If you cannot help, I understand, these are the worst times I have ever seen, but if you can I will be forever grateful and thankful. As for me it is literally one day at a time.
My injury occurred when I fell 16 feet off a ladder, had no workman’s comp, as it was my own work. I shattered my left tibia in 7 places, my left tibia plateau and meniscus were destroyed. I need ligament repair and have metal plates inserted. Will require 4-6 months to heal.
My right leg has a Calcaneus Fracture (Broken Heal) and my spine at level L1 there is an impact fracture that will also require surgery. I cannot even walk for the next month or two and then with a walker as my left leg is much worse, so again anything will help.
All of Barry’s friends are assisting him with his necessities, housing, and travel not covered by insurance and his expenses, but his needs are greater than the few of us can manage. Barry, his family and friends all appreciate any and all donations and prayers and support for his speedy and uncomplicated recovery.
Thank you.
