Please Help Barbara and Apollo

I’m Beth Schaffner.
I met Barbara before Christmas when I answered her plea for Christmas cards for her son.
Barbara Miller and her son Apollo need a our help! After living in her home for 7 years she was forced to leave because the owner was moving into the home. Apollo is autistic. Anyone who knows anything about autism knows that change is extremely life affecting and disturbing. Apollo is thriving in his current school environment and changing schools would be a horror. Coming up with first and last for a place to live is beyond her current measures. They need a home to live in Des Moines for no more than $1100 a month.
On top of this challenge, her car was involved in a smash and grab right before her eyes as she walked mere feet away to throw dog poop away. They took all of Apollo’s gift cards from Christmas and her cash, ID and credit cards. Her car has ONE working windshield wiper and she hasn’t the funds to repair it.
Then, as if these life challenges aren’t enough to kick her in the teeth, they were rear ended in their car a few weeks ago. The hits just keep coming for her and she soldiers on. She keeps working hard at her job and is staying in temporary locations to keep Apollo in school while she frantically searched for a permanent home for them. It’s getting expensive!
As a neighbor and member of this community, I just cannot sit here and watch her struggle. This is the first GOFUNDME I have ever done for someone. Please help me help her.
I’m so worried for them. Apollo needs daily routine in order to not be severely stressed. He needs a permanent home. Please help me help them so she has the funds to get a place to live and simply not worry about MONEY for a short while. Barbara is devoted to her son and is a champion hard working single mom. She never gives up! She is an inspiration.
