I am starting this campaign to help fill the gap with finances and food...

I started what I thought would be my ideal dream job over the summer, but it turned out to be a nightmare. I was let go in mid-September, so I filed for unemployment, as any other schmuck in my position would. However, Oregon is so far behind in processing unemployment claims that it hasn't even started processing my claim yet. I have filed for nine weeks in a row, with no action being taken on their end. According to the unemployment dept. employee I spoke to (after 2 hours on hold), I was told they have three weeks to start processing a claim - it's been nine, as of this writing. I have left messages with supervisors, I've gone to Worksource offices in person, I've even sent two separate emails to the governor to plead my case, and I haven't heard a word.

I am desperate at this point. My checking account is in the hole by about $500, I owe past dues on all my bills, and I'm just frankly looking for a little relief from the crippling anxiety I am feeling. I know it's tricky this time of year to ask for help, but it's literally my last resort. If you can, please help.
