Please help baby Sawyer fight for his life!

On Thursday, September 19th, 5 month old Sawyer Adee stopped nursing and began exhibiting a weak cry.

On Friday, September 20th he still would not nurse but acted so hungry that his mother, Whitney Adee, tried putting milk into an infant medicine syringe dispenser to see if he would take it. Sadly, he wasn't able to swallow it. That same day baby Sawyer began acting lethargic and just not himself. His mother took him to the doctor thinking maybe he had a sore throat or was coming down with a cold or something-it's that time of year.

What the doctor suggested as a possible diagnosis for sweet baby Sawyer would make any parent feel like their world was imploding on them...

                         AIRBORNE INFANT BOTULISM!?

"What? How? Why? Not me! Not my baby! Please Lord, not my child." Whitney says she was frozen--in complete shock--as any parent would be.

The family was advised to take Sawyer to the Hospital Emergency Room. After running several tests via swabs, blood work, et al., and hours passing so slowly while sitting in the small exam room in the ER waiting to get lab results back (that ended up coming back normal) - sweet baby Sawyer began to lose muscle control. The Emergency Room doctor quickly made the decision that Sawyer needed to be rushed via ambulance to Children's Hospital. Truly, a parent's nightmare being played out in v-e-r-y slow motion.

Sawyer's parents, Whitney & Jonathon Adee, have been at Children's Hospital with him during this time and it has been truly heartbreaking for all of their family and friends. Sawyer remains in ICU hooked up to a ventilator to breath for him and a feeding tube because he can not swallow. Since being at Children's ICU he has had numerous tests i.e, MRI's, viral blood panels, reoccurring CBCs, a spinal tap-just to name a few. All tests come back normal which further points to a diagnosis of AIRBORNE INFANT BOTULISM.  This amazing family has a very long and rocky road ahead of them helping Sawyer fight for his life now and recover in the future.

The family and friends of the Adee family have created this GoFundMe to help. The Adee family will be named beneficiary on this account and will receive the funds directly to be used for Sawyer's current and future medical expenses and rehabilitation costs. Sawyer's parents have been told that his stay at Children's could be up to 6 weeks in ICU then once he's home, he will have extensive therapy at home plus weekly trips back to Children's (4 hour drive time round trip) to be evaluated by the specialists for months after he's been discharged from ICU.

                          PLEASE--WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Let's remove the financial worry from these amazing parents and let them continue to do what they are doing - being by Sawyer's crib in the ICU helping him fight for his life, heal and recover.

Prior to this sudden illness, Sawyer was a happy and loving baby. He has 2 siblings, Levi and Lilly who adore him and can't wait for his recovery so they can begin playing with him again.

Please help us give Sawyer a fighting chance for a full recovery, help Levi and Lilly get back their baby brother, and help Whitney and Jonathon save their baby's life.

PLEASE- NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!!
