We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for help. Three weeks ago, we found a tiny kitten abandoned on hot concrete, left alone and practically lifeless. We couldn’t walk away from her and have worked tirelessly to bottle-feed and nurse her back to health. For a while, she was doing remarkably well, gaining strength and showing her sweet personality, quickly becoming a cherished member of our family.

Unfortunately, everything changed yesterday when we discovered she has a severe pneumonia infection accompanied by critically low red blood cells. This situation required an immediate blood transfusion to stabilize her condition. While all her initial tests came back negative for feline leukemia and other genetic disorders, the severity of her pneumonia and upper respiratory infection means she will need extensive medical care.

Her treatment requires multiple days of back-and-forth trips to both an emergency vet and our day veterinarian. During the nights, she will need to stay in an oxygen tank, and during the day, she will receive continued support to help her recover from this infection. The costs involved in her care have been unexpectedly high, and we have found ourselves in a difficult financial situation.

The vet has reassured us that she has a fighting chance, and that’s why we are committed to giving her the best possible care. If we didn’t believe in her potential to heal, we wouldn’t continue this fight. But she has already captured our hearts, and we would do anything to help her.

We are asking for any assistance you can provide, whether through donations or sharing this post. Every contribution will help us cover the critical costs of her overnight stays in the incubator, which is the most expensive aspect of her treatment, as well as the ongoing necessary catheter and IV fluids she will need over the next few days.

As a military family, we have always worked to support others, and now we find ourselves in a position where we need help to bring our sweet girl home and ensure her recovery. She truly deserves a fighting chance at life, and we believe she has been brought into our lives for a reason.
