                           BABY MACKENZIE’S STORY

Mackenzie Ruth Wheeler came into this world fighting for her life on August 19th, 2019. She was born with the genetic disorder; Osteogenesis Imperfecta stage 3-4.
It is most notably known as “Brittle Bone Disease”,  she was delivered with a fractured Femur, at the beginning of her journey. This injury occurred inutero and was detected early on and prior to Baby Mackenzie’s day of delivery. The Mother was told that their best chances for their newborn baby was to continue prenatal care at the world renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. They did so and Now out of their Insurance network, their bills have now began to mount. On top top of this added stress to their fiscal challenges, the new parent’s outlook of life-long special care their little baby girl will need, has left this young couple completely overwhelmed.  Since Mackenzie’s birth she has already experienced another fracture to her tiny left arm (the Humorus). They need our help.

The phrase “It takes a village to raise a child” could not ring truer for the parents Amanda Sarno and Scott Wheeler, when it comes to the needs of their newborn Baby. They need our help to ensure Mackenzie’s future needs and securing her quality of life. Right now, they feel the weight of the world on their shoulders as they begin this journey into the unknown.  What they Do know is that according to their doctor, their little girl has likely future injuries to her tiny frame and future surgeries and countless procedures to help her with the multiple bows of her limbs and to hopefully prevent or minimize future fractures, that is typical to this incurable disease.  Please know that All monies received will go directly toward the mounting medical related expenses and the current mounting bills. I began this fundraiser on behalf of Mackenzie’s loving grandmother, Jackie Sarno:

”Thank you for you kind and generous support to help my daughter through the challenges of this very trying and difficult journey.”

Sincerly,

Jaqueline Sarno
