Elliot Shepherd Donoghue, son of Nick and Sonja Donoghue. Born on January 24th, 2022. When this little boy was born he was having trouble breathing and his oxygen levels were very low. Elliot was transferred to the NICU where he has been diagnosed with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension in Newborns. Elliot is currently sedated, intubated and on a ventilator. He is receiving several medications to control his blood pressure and pulmonary pressure. A team of NICU doctors are doing everything possible using all the resources available at the hospital to help little Elliot to eventually be able to breathe on his own. They are Dealing with all the complexities of managing and balancing his Blood Gas Levels, medications, blood pressure and trying to give him nutrition all at the same time. The doctors informed Nick and Sonja that his condition is very serious and that any advances will be slow and he will be in the NICU for an extended period of time. Currently Nick and Sonja do not have any medical insurance and they are taking turns staying with Elliot on 24 hour shifts.
