Support Ava's Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
Several weeks ago, Ava was complaining about headaches and was vomiting frequently. After several nights at Shore Memorial Hospital, they determined that she was just dehydrated. After a week or so, the headaches and vomiting started again, and her parents were advised to take her to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

On Wednesday, April 9th, an MRI revealed a sizable mass on the base of her brain. On Thursday, April 10th, that mass was successfully removed. She will now require several weeks of inpatient rehabilitation at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Donations made will be used to assist her family with all medical expenses. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.

Thank you,
Lilybeth Scafario, Liberty Aquino & the entire Groce family

*Update*

Since Ava's surgery 4/10, she's been doing well. Walking, talking, eating & interacting. Every so often she still gets headaches & belly aches. But we were able to get some smiles from this tough little girl! She still has a long road to recovery & without getting into detail, she will need radiation & chemotherapy. So please continue to pray and support our Ava Girl!

Thank you all so much for the donations, love & support!!! With love; Cliff, Lisette & the Groce Family

June 5, 2025:
This is the latest update Ava went through the next big step in this battle with cancer. She’s about half way through radiation and she started loosing her hair. Loosing her hair was very scary for her. She handled well and even prefers not to wear a hat or wig at this time. She is so beautiful and I’m so proud of how she has been able to overcome this fear. She also had some issues with double vision again this past week, they had the optometrist look at her and found nothing so they did a CT scan due to the double vision and the ongoing nausea and all came back good. So we’re still not sure what is causing the occasional double vision and they will continue to monitor it. The nausea has been a little better with the G-J tube placed in her abdomen. Although very little, she has been attempting to eat. Hopefully they have finally found the combination of meds along with the placement of the G-J tube that will lead to the nausea improvement. If we can get her off the IV fluids and the nausea under control she will be able to move to rehab and possibly home in June for a month or so before she has to start her Chemo. Please continue to pray for Ava to show continued improvement and strength to continue her fight.
 Thank you ❤️
