Please help Austin Maxwell FIGHT Hodgkins Lymphoma

On January 20th, 2020 my AMAZING son Austin James Maxwell received the news that he had Hodgkins Lymphoma.  It started in December 2019, when he came to me with a lump in his neck. So we immediately went to his primary doctor. She was very concerned and this is what started the worry that consumes me now, everyday 24/7.  We were sent for blood work and then a CT scan.  The scan came back very worrisome for Lymphoma.  We were in shock. Wanted more testing. We were then sent to a cancer doctor at C Care in Fresno, Ca. That was the hardest thing for a Mom to do. Walk your child (even tho he's 18) in to a cancer center. Still hoping for the best, we were seen by the cancer doc and he explained that he was suspicious of Hodgkins Lymphoma.  I think I lost it at that point. He sent us for a biopsy of my son's neck at Saint Agnes Hospital.  It came back very worrisome as well, but not 100% diagnosed yet. After more blood work, we go back to the cancer doc. He says it is Hodgkins Lymphoma, but we need to go thru these steps for confirmation.  Since then we have been to multiple docs. Sometimes three different docs in one day,  and are now waiting for surgery to take out a lymph node in his neck. Then the chemo starts. Austin is strong, staying positive, and is holding up well. He has the best attitude of all of us.  He would love nothing more than to get back to his life with his beautiful girlfriend Carly, going to college, hiking, camping, and helping others as an EMT with American Ambulance.  Even with health insurance,  the almost daily co-pays, out of pocket extra expenses, and medical bills, are starting to build up. Please  help us raise funds to support the financial burden that cancer brings. We would hope these expenses are the last thing we need to focus on in my son's fight. All funds will go to support Austin and his treatment, support, and care, during this process. Thank you so very much to all who LOVE Austin like we do!!!
