My name is Danyelle, and I want to tell you about someone who has changed my life in the most unconditional, beautiful way — my dog, Arie.

Arie came into my life when I needed her most. Through my hardest days, she’s been my reason to get out of bed. When life felt heavy, her wagging tail and soft snuggles reminded me that I wasn’t alone. Arie isn’t “just a dog” — she’s my family, my heart, my safe place.

Today, I’m asking for help because Arie needs me now just as much as I’ve always needed her. She’s been struggling with severe knee and hip issues, and it’s heartbreaking to watch her limp or struggle to get up — knowing that the playful, happy girl I know is trapped inside a body that’s hurting.

Her veterinarian says she’ll likely need knee surgery costing between $5,000–$6,000, and possibly a hip replacement that could cost up to $10,000. Those numbers were hard to hear — not just because they’re far more than I can manage alone, but because they stand between Arie and the pain-free life she deserves.

I’ve never been someone who finds it easy to ask for help. But this isn’t about me — it’s about giving Arie the chance to run again, to chase her favorite toy, to greet me at the door without wincing. It’s about repaying even a fraction of the unconditional love she’s given me every single day.
