Please help Arianna pursue her college dream!

All little kids dream about what they want to be when they “grow up.” Some dream of being firemen, police officers, doctors and teachers. For Arianna, it has always been a dream of hers to work with animals. From a very young age, Arianna has always had a love of animals. A love that she shared with my father (her late grandfather). They spent many hours caring for and loving our family dogs when she was young. Often times, animals were able to comfort and console her after a long day or during hard times. She has the amazing ability to connect with animals on a deeper level and I truly feel that she feels their pain. It is this character trait, that showcases her tremendous empathy and compassion. It is only fitting that after high school, she dreams of pursuing a career in the veterinary field focusing primarily in marine biology at the University of Maine.

During her time at Essex Technical High School (Essex Aggie as it’s fondly referred to), she has maintained a 4.0 grade point average, is a member of the National Honor Society, has received her OSHA 10 certificate, Fear Free certification and is also animal CPR certified. She has logged many hours of hands-on training in the care of all kinds of creatures, big and small! From little snakes to goats and cows. Her compassion for all animal life knows no limits.

While Arianna is one smart cookie and academically gifted. It is her personality, her humor, her drive, her empathy and compassion that really make her a star. She is an old soul, wise well beyond her years. To know her is to love her and the World is so lucky to have someone like her in it. The possibilities for her are endless.

As her mother, I am endlessly proud of her. For her accomplishments, both academically and personally. I am proud of the young woman she has grown up to be. Of the way she carries herself with pride and dignity. I am proud of her for being the person she is and the way she treats others. Being a single mom, life is not always easy. You work tirelessly to try to give your child the best life you can. A better life than what you had. So when Arianna applied to college and was accepted at the University of Maine, well my heart nearly burst with pride. We’d done it….she’d done it. All HER hardwork had paid off. All HER discipline and late night studying had gotten her on the road to college. With college quickly approaching and the tuition billings coming in, it is a bit overwhelming wondering how to make these college dreams a reality. Arianna has been fortunate enough to receive some financial aide and merit awards. Unfortunately, there is still a need for some financial assistance.

Thank you for taking the time to view this gofundme page. From one parent to another, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please help me in celebrating all of Arianna’s accomplishments and giving this amazing young lady the means to pursue her dreams.
