Dakota was diagnosed with childhood meningitis today. He will remain in Picu for approximately 21 more days. Mom and dad will need to stay by his side and mom does not have PTO or vacation time. This will be a strain on them for the coming days. Any little bit helps this day and time. No one ever expects these kinds of things. Dakota is a bright, loving, caring 8 year old who loves e everyone. He is missing his brother as Benny is missing him. They have no idea I am doing this or they would not let me. It's hard to accept help at any time as they work very hard.
