Anthony is a gentle seven-year-old bulldog mix who almost didn’t make it.
His owner kept getting arrested, and every time the police took Anthony to the shelter. The last time his owner never came back. Anthony sat in that cold kennel for almost five months, watching other dogs get adopted while he was slowly put on the euthanasia list.
The day he was scheduled to be put down, we pulled him.
He’s finally safe with Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue, but his body is broken from all that time. His ears are in terrible shape — chronically infected, scarred, calcified, and constantly draining. The shelter’s own records prove how bad it is.
He also has painful dental tartar and ongoing allergies that need treatment. His current foster can’t keep him any longer, so we need to raise enough to cover his medical care and the next several months of fostering until we find him a real home.
Here’s what we need right now:
• Food, supplies & fostering for the next 4 months: $2,000
• Severe ear infections & ongoing care: $1,600
• Dental treatment & allergy medication: $850
Total goal: $4,450
Why Anthony is worth your donations:
Anthony is a survivor. He survived multiple bouts of mistreatment from his former owner, survived almost five months in a shelter, and survived the euthanasia list. Through all of it, he’s remained a sweet, happy, loving dog who still wags his tail and wants to trust people. He deserves a real forever home and a chance to finally be a healthy, pain-free boy.
If we don’t raise this money:
Without these funds, Anthony will stay in constant pain. His ears will keep getting worse, the infections will spread, and his suffering will only increase. We won’t be able to move him to a new foster or keep up with the daily medications and care he needs.
Even $5 or $10 makes a difference. Please share his story.
