Please Help Animals left after Caretaker passed

Ilene Rivera was a friend to so many, and a true savior to the animals in Tonopah, NV. She worked tirelessly to care for the ill, the abandoned, the neglected as well as her efforts to ensure TNR was done throughout the community. On Thursday, October 19th, she was killed in a head-on car accident while traveling home from a Las Vegas Veterinary visit. She, her friend and volunteer, Chris, along with 2 dogs and 9 cats perished in that tragic accident. One small kitten did survive and is currently being treated at Ann Road Animal Hospital.

80 animals where left behind when Ilene passed away. Approximately 40 cats have been transported back to Las Vegas, where multiple rescues have stepped in to assist. The remaining animals should be be going with the Reno SPCA.

To honor her life and dedication to the animals, please consider a donation to help cover ongoing care, fostering and preparation for adoption. No amount is too small and everything is appreciated. All funds received will be distributed amongst the rescue organizations that are helping in this effort.
