Andrea Cardin welcomed a beautiful baby boy, James Ethan, to the world on Wednesday, November 21. Dad Chris Vopni and big brother Charlie (2) were so happy to finally meet him!
A week before James was born Andrea was diagnosed with pre-leukemia, which has progressed quickly to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She has a challenging road ahead, staying in hospital for chemotherapy treatments and potentially a stem cell transplant.
What should be a wonderful time in this family’s life has turned overwhelmingly frightening and stressful. James and Charlie are missing their mom immensely, and Chris is worried beyond belief.
Let’s come together and help Andrea, Chris, Charlie, and James get through this difficult time. Andrea is a freelance sports photographer, so she’ll be off work for many months as she fights this illness. All contributions are truly appreciated, and will help offset Andrea’s lost income and the family’s expenses related to her cancer journey.
