Please Help and Support Athena Zellers' Recovery Journey

Karen Gronsky School of Dance is organizing this “ Go Fund Me” page to support the Zellers’ family because right now they need our help.

We are asking to help Athena Zellers and family. Athena is currently recovering at GMC from a “craniotomy” surgery.

The surgery on 5/19 was to repair an opening in her skull.

Athena was in a horrific car accident in 2017. She was returning from a dance workshop in NYC, which left her in a coma and a fractured skull and more. She made a miraculous 100 percent recovery in 2017 or so we thought…

Fast forward to today. Our happy, sassy, funny and incredible dancer Athena recently contracted a serious infection and went to the hospital on 5/9.

While treating the infection, doctors discovered that she had a separation in her skull that did not heal from her prior injury. So, here she is with another surgery and in the hospital again…

It appears that she will need another surgery in the near future.

Every contribution will provide food for Zellers family of 6 daily.
