My name is Anabel Nunez, and I have started this gofundme in effort to help my son Melvin who has been diagnosed with kidney cancer. As a single parent, I am struggling to keep up with all of the medical expenses that are necessary for his recovery. During this process he has lost 1 of his kidneys to rid his body of a large tumor and has since had cancer spread to his lungs and his brain. He is currently receiving chemotherapy in El Salvador, however, the hospitals there are not equipped to treat this particular form of cancer. The medicine that he needs is only available in the US, Canada, and Italy. We desperately need to have him transferred to the United States to receive proper medical care.
