Please help an amputee run again!

Donation protected

Hello everyone! I have been an amputee for three years now after having a traumatic accident in April of 2018 when I was living in San Francisco. Before then I was a very active man. I’ve worked out, played sports, traveled and explored cities, and worked long work weeks. Since then I’ve been struggling to get back to a normalcy where I can do close to the same things I used to do. I am now 25 years old and while we all were staying safe at home during this pandemic I have been exercising on a spin bike and doing my own physical therapy so that I can run and do some sports again.

Like all medical equipment prosthetic limbs are expensive. Running/sports equipment like a running knee and running blade are not covered by insurance and amputees like myself have to pay out of pocket, fundraise, and/or rely on a charity. But thankfully I believe that fundraising for a running leg is an achievable goal with help from all of you.

The equipment I am fundraising for is a running knee and running blade made by Ottobock. This equipment is very versatile and allows me to participate in things such as tennis, running, hiking, etc. If you find this interesting they have a catalog on their website and you can view the equipment they sell. But obviously I can only get it through my own prosthetic guy.

Please help me out, donate, and share my fundraiser with your friends, family, and on social media. I can really use the help. Thank you everyone!
