Please help Amy and Kim

This is Kim.  Kim is a big softy of a dog with a big heart, who's circumstances might once have been very different.  When Kim was only 6 months old, my sister Amy became aware that Kim was due to be sold for the sole purpose of being used as a baiting pawn in dog fighting circles. Amy rescued Kim and drove with her to our parents house temporarily while they found her a permanent happy home. It's 9 years later and Kim is a massive part of this family. She didn't go anywhere.  Today we need help. My sister noticed Kim was in pain whenever having contact with her neck. Twice she was taken to the vet and twice told it was arthritis causing the pain and with that some pain medication was prescribed. Within weeks Kim lost the use of her front left leg.  Obviously in distress Amy took Kim back to the vet and it was decided an MRI would be booked for the coming days. Unfortunately within an hour of leaving the vet, Kim had no use of any of her four limbs and had to he rushed to a specialist where she has undergone an emergency MRI and surgery to the spinal chord. After surgery Kim has been unable to breathe on her own and was put on a ventilator last night.  Unfortunately the pet insurance is maxed out and this is why we need help.  Amy herself works in dog training, dog walking and pet sitting. She has devoted her life to animals and now due to restrictions caused by Covid-19 my sister is unable to earn a living. Her clients are on hold and she is so far not being supported by any government scheme.  The amount listed is what is currently required to pay the fees for Kim so far, beyond what has already been covered by insurance and several credit cards. Amy didn't give up on Kim 9 years ago and she won't give up on her now. It is, however, incredibly tough timing financially.  If anybody can help us with a donation, no matter how small, it would mean the world to my Sister Amy and her little Kim.  Thank you so much. UPDATE: In case you haven't seen any of the updates, here is the situation so far. Kim has been able to come off the ventilator and breathe independently as of this afternoon (28/4/20). She isn't out of the woods yet. She needs to stay in for monitoring and will likely have to learn to walk again. But this is all incredible news and bodes well for recovery. We were also contacted by a charity called Staffordshire Bullterrier Welfare who have amazingly offered to cover all remaining costs for Kim's recovery. This has been overwhelming for all of us and means we can now breathe easy knowing we can pay for all of the care Kim needs. With that in mind we are going to keep the page open so that if people are still willing to donate, we can use the extra funds to make a donation straight back to the charity so that the next Staffy in need can get the same help Kim is receiving. We thank you all so much for your generosity. You've blown us all away with your love. Kim is one lucky pup. Thanks, Alan on behalf of Kim and Amy
